The University of Cambridge, in collaboration with NIAB, is offering a PhD position to explore the evolution of fungicide resistance in plant pathogens, particularly Zymoseptoria tritici. The research combines theoretical modeling with experimental approaches to predict resistance patterns and develop sustainable management strategies. The candidate will develop mathematical models, conduct experimental validation, and test resistance management strategies. A strong background in plant science, applied statistics, or related fields, along with experience in experimental research, is required. International applicants are welcome, and fluency in English is a must.
