This 2-year Postdoctoral Fellowship focuses on the high-throughput 3D quantification of rhizobial infections in plant root nodules using X-ray imaging. The project utilizes the High Throughput Tomography (HiTT) setup at EMBL’s P14 beamline on the Petra II synchrotron, and involves developing sample handling processes, curating large datasets, and training AI models for bacterial infection segmentation. The project is part of a collaboration with the University of Aarhus and the Technical University of Denmark.
