Description

The Van Andel Institute is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to join Dr. Nick Burton's laboratory, focusing on mitochondrial function and its role in stress responses and aging, using C. elegans as a model organism. The research will investigate mitochondrial remodeling in oocytes and its effects on stress adaptation, as well as mutations in oxidative phosphorylation (OxPhos) subunits that regulate stress responses and longevity. Candidates will receive training in proteomics and C. elegans genetics, and will have access to state-of-the-art research facilities. A Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field is required, with a preference for experience in C. elegans, mitochondrial biology, or proteomics.
