The Bai Group at Northeastern University is inviting applications for fully funded PhD and postdoctoral positions starting in Fall 2025. The research focuses on experimental mechanics and advanced materials, combining both theoretical and experimental approaches. Areas of interest include multifunctional materials, fracture mechanics, soft robotics, energy storage, and human-machine interfaces. Candidates with a strong background in mechanical engineering, materials science, or related fields are encouraged to apply. PhD applicants should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, while postdoctoral candidates should hold a PhD. Successful applicants will work in collaboration with leading institutions in the Boston area, including Harvard, MIT, and Boston University.
