This PhD project focuses on developing strategies to enhance the resilience of kelp cultivars, particularly Saccharina latissima, to environmental stressors such as climate change. The student will work on priming strategies to improve growth and reproductive success, investigate molecular genetics, and explore metabolic responses to stress. The project involves both lab and fieldwork, with training in molecular biology techniques, bioinformatics, and aquaculture practices.
