Saitama University is offering a postdoctoral position in the field of computational condensed matter physics, focused on developing advanced dimensionality reduction techniques to improve many-body calculations. The successful candidate will work with Professor Hiroshi Shinaoka’s group on innovative methods like tensor cross interpolation and sparse modeling, applied to realistic condensed matter systems. Applicants are encouraged to propose their own research themes, with a strong preference for backgrounds in numerical methods, dynamical mean-field theory, and diagrammatic ab initio calculations. This non-tenure track position offers an annual salary of 5 to 6 million yen, with a contract period until March 31, 2027, renewable annually. Applications are accepted from November 8, 2024, to January 31, 2025.
