The University of Warwick’s School of Engineering is offering two Ph.D. positions under the supervision of Dr. Emmanouil Kakouris. The first position focuses on AI-assisted computational modelling of fracture, exploring the integration of AI and physics-based simulations to improve material failure predictions. The second position focuses on AI-driven decision-support analytics for structural life-cycle assessment, aiming to optimize the sustainability and performance of civil infrastructure. Both positions offer an opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, engineering, and applied mathematics. Funding is available for both positions, including tuition coverage and stipends, and international applicants are welcome.
