The FMP in Berlin is offering a PhD or postdoctoral position focused on investigating the role of K2P channels in regulating membrane potential and cellular excitability. This research is critical as K2P channel dysregulation is linked to various health conditions. The project involves cryo-EM structural analysis, molecular dynamics simulations to study gating dynamics, and working within an interdisciplinary research team across multiple German cities. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Biophysics, Chemistry, Biology, or Bioinformatics and experience in structural or computational biology are encouraged to apply.
