This Doctoral Candidate position focuses on exploring cellular membrane dynamics, lipid synthesis, and membrane remodeling through the creation of synthetic membranes that mimic natural cellular conditions. The project involves studying lipid composition and membrane expansion's effects on condensate stability, with novel liposomal model systems. The candidate will also participate in secondments at the University of Leuven, University of Nijmegen, and the Berlin branch of Nature Communications.
