This PhD project focuses on the enzymatically controlled membrane attachment and exocytosis of condensates in synthetic cells. The candidate will investigate the biochemical regulation of ATP levels and protein filament self-organization to develop synthetic cells with tunable properties. The project offers opportunities for international collaboration and requires expertise in synthetic biology, chemical biology, and membrane biophysics. The successful candidate will also mentor students and present research findings at international conferences. The position is part of the EU Doctoral Network on Integrative Synthetic Cell Design (ComeInCell).
