The Climate Resilient Cities Lab at NYU's Tandon School of Engineering is offering 1-2 fully funded PhD positions starting in Fall 2025. The research will focus on urban resilience to climate change, exploring issues such as extreme heat, urban design, sustainable growth, and integrating climate data into urban planning. The PhD students will have opportunities for internship placements at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The position includes full financial support, including tuition coverage, a competitive stipend, and travel funding. Applicants should have a background in engineering, applied math/physics, computer science, or related fields, with a demonstrated interest in urban resilience and climate adaptation.
