UBC is offering a fully funded Ph.D. position focused on applying machine learning techniques to medical imaging for the diagnosis and management of venous thromboembolism (VTE). The project involves developing AI-powered algorithms for ultrasound imaging to enhance VTE management. The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians and biomedical engineers in a clinical research setting. Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with experience in deep learning, medical imaging, and proficiency in Python, Matlab, and C++.
