The University of Cambridge is offering a fully funded 4-year PhD studentship focused on understanding the mechanism of action of anti-malarial drugs. The research will use innovative methodologies such as artificial intelligence and long-read DNA sequencing to study the drugs' effects. The successful candidate will collaborate with Professor Catherine Merrick’s parasitology lab and develop software engineering skills in Python, C/C++, GPU computing, and deep learning using TensorFlow, while managing large datasets in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
