The Department of Biotechnology and Food Science at NTNU is offering a PhD position in microbiome science and engineering. The successful candidate will conduct innovative research on developing mixed microbial cultures for sustainable ingredient production or studying gene transfer mechanisms within complex microbial communities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced experimental, analytical, and computational tools in an international research environment under the guidance of Prof. Dr. David Weissbrodt. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in biotechnology, microbiology, or related fields and be able to contribute to both independent research and collaborative project.
