The Wachter research group at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate the role of alternative splicing in light-dependent seedling development. The project focuses on how condensate formation in splicing regulators can control alternative splicing programs in plants, with implications for eukaryotic development. The position involves developing high-resolution reporter lines, studying splicing regulator functions and phosphorylation, and utilizing advanced techniques like proximity labeling and TRIBE. The candidate will also supervise students and collaborate with the SFB 1551 team on cellular function. A PhD in Molecular Plant Biology or a related field is required.
