The Synthetic Cell Programming Lab at University Pompeu Fabra (UPF), led by Dr. Javier Santos-Moreno, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to engineer synthetic gene circuits in E. coli. The research focuses on developing time-programmed gene circuits as part of the ERC-funded "TICK-TOCK Do and Die" project. The successful candidate will use CRISPRi, transcription factors, and advanced cloning techniques to design and test gene circuits, with opportunities for mentoring, teaching, and outreach. The position offers a full-time contract for up to 4 years, with a competitive salary and excellent benefits. A PhD in life sciences and a strong background in synthetic or molecular biology are essential.
