The scholarship supports a PhD project aimed at exploring the antagonistic interactions between the pathogenic species Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida, focusing on their ecological behaviors, including biofilm formation and virulence factors. The objective is to uncover and utilize key metabolites responsible for these interactions to develop new antimicrobial agents.
