Description

This position, funded by the Einstein Foundation, involves researching circadian control mechanisms in neurodegeneration and brain energy metabolism using advanced methodologies. The role includes the use of human-induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC) to generate neurons and brain organoid models, with a focus on mitochondrial biology, autophagy, and cell death mechanisms. The successful candidate will collaborate internationally, particularly with the Buchan Lab at the University of Oxford, and work in a motivated, interdisciplinary team at Charité.
