Virginia Tech is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to join the Kehn-Hall Lab in the College of Veterinary Medicine. The position focuses on researching FDA-approved drugs for repurposing against viruses with pandemic potential, including Rift Valley fever, Venezuelan equine encephalitic, and eastern equine encephalitis viruses. The successful candidate will collaborate with computer scientists to utilize “omics” datasets and machine learning to identify drugs targeting viral pathways. Responsibilities include working with organoid cultures, animal models, and antiviral assays, with opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration.
