Queen’s University is offering an MSc or PhD position focused on the ecotoxicological effects of the tire antioxidant 6PPD on freshwater ecosystems. The research will investigate the environmental occurrence and impact of 6PPD and its breakdown products, with collaboration from the Queen’s Experimental Ecotoxicology for Environmental Policy team and Environment and Climate Change Canada. The candidate will be co-supervised by Dr. Diane Orihel and Dr. Stacey Robinson, contributing to evidence synthesis and potential field-based research. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in aquatic ecotoxicology and related fields.
