Description

This PhD project, based at King’s College London, focuses on studying bystander apoptosis—where neighboring cells undergo programmed cell death in response to dying cells. The research aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms involved in this process, particularly in the context of enhancing cancer therapy responses. Techniques such as whole genome CRISPR screens and molecular biology approaches will be employed to explore DNA damage repair and cell-to-cell communication. The project offers the opportunity to contribute to cancer treatment advancements while working in a cutting-edge research environment.
