This PhD position focuses on understanding Mercury’s magnetosphere and its interaction with solar wind using advanced hybrid-kinetic plasma models and analyzing data from spacecraft missions such as NASA’s MESSENGER and ESA’s/JAXA’s BepiColombo. The research is part of an international collaboration aimed at improving our understanding of planetary magnetospheres. The successful candidate will also participate in coursework, collaborate with international institutions, and may take on teaching duties (up to 20%).
