The Bioenergetics and Protein Engineering (BIP) laboratory at CNRS and Aix-Marseille University is offering a fully-funded PhD position focused on the development of electroenzymatic biosensors for hydrogen detection. The research aims to advance hydrogen storage safety and sustainable energy by developing a biosensor using Ni-Fe hydrogenase from Aquifex aeolicus. Key tasks include optimizing enzyme immobilization, improving bioelectrode stability, and refining biosensor geometry. The project offers an exciting opportunity to work in interdisciplinary research, blending analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, and 3D printing technologies to support sustainable energy solutions.
