A 2-year postdoctoral fellowship is available in Stéphanie Robert’s research group at the Umeå Plant Science Centre (UPSC). The project focuses on understanding how positional information and mechanical signals regulate cell fate determination in plants, using Arabidopsis thaliana as a model organism. The successful candidate will explore how cell identities are established and how mechanical cues interact with molecular pathways in root epidermal cell differentiation. Experience in single-cell RNA sequencing and molecular biology techniques is essential. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary research environment.
