The Ruhr University Bochum is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to study the molecular replication mechanisms of Hepatitis viruses and the clinical transmission pathways of flaviviruses. The successful candidate will focus on the Hepatitis E Virus (HEV), developing biochemical and microscopy-based assays to investigate viral entry, genome release, and tissue tropism. The project also aims to identify pathogenic mechanisms linked to HEV's extrahepatic manifestations. Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in Biology or related fields, experience in virology, cell culture systems, and bioinformatics, and strong collaboration skills.
