The Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena invites applications for a Bioinformatician position within the virus database team. This role focuses on the development and integration of bioinformatics pipelines for virus research, particularly in the areas of virus (meta)genomics, (meta)transcriptomics, and (meta)proteomics. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining data pipelines, developing data visualizations, and providing bioinformatics support to researchers. Candidates will also be involved in teaching bioinformatics workshops and contributing to research publications. A Master’s or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related fields is required, along with experience in handling virus data. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
