This PhD project focuses on designing and exploring new oxynitrides with properties suitable for energy-related applications, such as photocatalysis and energy storage. The candidate will be involved in synthesizing targeted oxynitride compounds, characterizing them using various techniques (e.g., X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy), and testing their applications in international laboratories. This position offers the opportunity for secondments of up to 3 months and will be co-supervised by Prof. A. Fuertes and Prof. M.R. Palacín. The candidate will be enrolled in the Materials Science PhD program at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
