A funded PhD studentship is available to investigate Microbial Induced Corrosion (MIC), a significant economic issue costing approximately $113 billion globally each year. This research will focus on the electrochemical processes involved in MIC, exploring advanced techniques in surface science and microbiology. The successful candidate will receive training in advanced characterization techniques and will have three external placements to enhance technical skills and business practices in the innovation sector.
