This fully funded PhD studentship focuses on advancing numerical methods for curing process simulation of carbon fibre-reinforced polymers (CFRP). The research will develop computational tools to reduce discrepancies between designed and manufactured CFRP geometries, using techniques such as high-order finite element methods, reduced-order modeling, and machine learning. The project involves extensive programming and experimental work to enhance the sustainability and innovation in engineering applications of CFRP composites.
