IMDEA Materials Institute is offering a PhD position to investigate the deformation and fracture mechanisms in magnesium (Mg) alloys using advanced characterization techniques. The project will focus on in situ electron back-scatter diffraction, high-resolution digital image correlation, and diffraction contrast tomography to explore micromechanical behaviors. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a Master’s in materials science, mechanical engineering, or physical metallurgy, and experience in mechanical characterization or microscopy.
