Description

This PhD project focuses on understanding how humans perceive real, AI-manipulated faces (including deepfakes), and humanoid robots, with an emphasis on individual differences in face perception. The research, supervised by Dr. Emma Stewart and Prof. Isabelle Mareschal, aims to uncover the psychological mechanisms behind these differences using behavioral, psychophysical, and eye-tracking methods. The project is funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), and candidates will receive training in experimental methods and analysis techniques.
