This 20-month post-doctoral position focuses on developing chemically modified carbon electrodes for enantioselective electrochemical reactions. The project will involve covalent grafting of chiral organocatalysts onto carbon electrodes to enhance the selectivity and reactivity in aldehyde α-functionalization reactions. The candidate will conduct electrochemical grafting, functionalize electrodes, and evaluate their performance in chiral reactions. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry with expertise in product characterization, catalysis, and electrosynthesis. The position is available from February 2025.
