 The Technical University of Munich is seeking a dedicated Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Additive Manufacturing. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research to characterize additively manufactured aluminum alloys used in aerospace applications. The role involves utilizing neutron and X-ray scattering techniques to study phases, precipitation, and mechanical properties of aluminum alloys produced via powder bed laser beam melting (LPBF). The position also includes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and managing project activities. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Materials Science or related fields, with a strong command of German and experience in scattering methods or alloys. The position is based at the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Research Neutron Source (FRM II) in Garching near Munich.
