The Wachter research group at JGU Mainz is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the role of alternative splicing in light-dependent seedling development. The project focuses on how condensate formation in splicing regulators controls alternative splicing programs in plants. The researcher will develop high-resolution reporter lines, study splicing regulator phosphorylation, and use advanced techniques like proximity labeling and TRIBE to explore molecular mechanisms. The position also involves student supervision and collaboration with the SFB 1551 team on polymer concepts in cellular function.
